Opinion: Why Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel should give debutant defender a chance in his squad

After making his Chelsea debut in the UEFA super cuo on Wednesday against Villarreal, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel gave Trevor Chalobah another chance to impress the Stamford bridge fan base. The player grabbed the chance wholeheartedly, making the most use of it. He has gotten two man of the awards in this two games for the Stamford bridge senior team.

The player was monumental in Chelsea's success in the UEFA super cup. Despite being beaten by Villarreal and Spanish striker, Gerrard Moreno in the "man of the match" award, the Ivory coast star was Chelsea's best player on the pitch as he had 95% pass accuracy, won 100% aerial battles and completed all his tackles.

This made the Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel try him out on Sunday against Crystal Palace. The player was as good as before and even scored a goal. He also helped the team keep a cleansheet. The player was highly emotional after scoring his first Chelsea goal on Saturday. He said "my time has come".

Chelsea have been linked with Sevilla and France defender, Jules Kounde. However, if Chelsea sign the Sevilla star, they will have load of options in defence. But the Chelsea coach has stressed that he is still trying out the debutant, Trevor Chalobah.

I think the player should stay.

Should Chalobah go out on loan?

Or be sold?

What do you think?
