Europa League: Onuachu's Goal Gives Genk Important Win At Rapid Wien

Paul Onuachu's late goal gave Genk an important in Thursday's UEFA Europa League Group H match day 1 fixture against Rapid Wien at Allianz Stadion in Wien, Austria.

The 27-year-old Nigeria striker scored the goal from the spot two minutes into added time as the Belgian First Division A side made a winning start to their group campaign on the road.

The towering former FC Midtjylland player was cautioned on 80 minutes whilst striving to ensure his team bagged maximum point.

Onuachu scored 35 goals and rendered five assists across all competitions for Genk last season, a feat that left many top European suitors, including Arsenal and Liverpool on his trail, but the player surprisingly remained at the club and continues to deliver the goods.

He has scored three goals in five league matches into the new season, kicking off his European campaign on a bright note.

Onuachu will be looking to build on the feat when Genk host GNK Dinamo Zagreb on match day 2 at Cegeka Arena on September 30.
