BRE VS CHE: Head-to-Head and what to expect from the Crunch tie.

Premier League Leaders Chelsea will face a tough test in their next Priemier League match after the International break against Brentford at Brentford's Community Stadium. Both sides have never met before in a Premier League match. However, they have met ten times in English Division 1 league, with Chelsea winning five times and drawing once, while Brentford won four times. They have also met four times in the English FA Cup. Chelsea won three of those fixtures and drew one. Their recent meeting was in 2017 FA cup match which ended 4:0 in favour of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. This season, they meet again in the English top flight League following Brentford's promotion to the Premier League.

Since their promotion, Brentford have been in outstanding form this season. They occupy the 7th position in the league with 12 points from 7 matches, defeating teams like Arsenal and West Ham and also drawing Liverpool in a six-goal thriller played at the Community Stadium. The match against Chelsea offers them another opportunity to cause an upset and send signals to other Premier league teams.

As they tackle Chelsea on Saturday at the Community Stadium by 17:30 GMT, here are few things to expect from both teams.

Chelsea to dominate proceedings.

Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel has been playing the possession kind of football which is seen in their ability to retain possession and their aggressiveness to close down opponents when they are not with the ball. When they player smaller teams, they tend to perfect this tactics but may faulter against big teams. Against Brentford, they are going to implore this to break them down and try to score goals. Brentford on their part have not had a better percentage of the ball possession in their league matches played so far played against the big teams.

Brentford to rely on Counter attack and long balls.

The Bees will try to soak up the pressure from the dominant Blues but will utilize every opportunity to counter in order to score. They will also need to play long balls and try to get the ball into Chelsea's 18 yard box for possible goal-scoring chances. This was seen in their games against Arsenal and Liverpool which enabled them to score goals and secure good results.

Both teams to Score

Chelsea have only failed to score against Manchester City in their 1:0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, while Brentford has scored against all big teams they have faced this season. They scored three and conceded one in their last PL match against stubborn Southampton. Chelsea have a good defensive record but have conceded in their last 2 premier league matches. With the recent record, keeping a cleansheet against a free scoring side like Brentford will be difficult.

Chelsea will be under pressure to win

Chelsea are on top of the twenty-team English Premier League with just a point above Liverpool who also plays on Saturday against Watford in an early kickoff match and two points ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United who play in the lunch time kickoff fixtures. . Wins for these clubs means that Chelsea will be leapfrogged out of the top spot pending the outcome of their late kickoff match. This will however put them under intense pressure to win and reclaim top spot in the league.

It is definitely going to be a tough clash between the two teams after the International break. Both teams are in fine form and it promises to be an entertaining late fixture where the two teams face tough test to their ambitions.
