Champions League: Zidane responds to Real Madrid's 1-0 win at Atalanta

Real Madrid chief, Zinedine Zidane, has let it be known was hard to beat 10-man Atalanta in their Champions League quarter final 16 tie on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos left away with a 1-0 away success, with Ferland Mendy scoring a dazzling late victor.

Remo Freuler was shipped off for the Serie A side in a disputable choice, before Casemiro got a booking that will see him miss the subsequent leg.

Madrid couldn't benefit from their additional man advantage, until Mendy's late exertion went in with five minutes left.

It was hard for us. Yet, in the end it's a decent outcome.

"It's a significant outcome with an away objective. Yet, we know there's a return leg and we need to win. It was difficult, even 10 against 11. We played against a genuinely solid group who were protectively and generally excellent, so it's a decent outcome," Zidane said subsequently.
