Atletico Madrid manager isn't surprised by rumoured interest in his world class goal keeper Jan Oblak but hopes the shot stopper will remain at the club.
Jan Oblak has been named best shot stopper in La Liga for the previous four seasons. He has only conceded 26 goals in 36 games in the current campaign, helping the Spanish giants once again clinch a top-four finish.
Chelsea Fc are interested in the 27-year-old Slovenian with thier keeper kepa falling off the pecking order. The blues are looking forward to involve Kepa Arrizabalaga in player-plus-cash deal to lure Oblak to the bridge.
Simeone answered to medias about the rumors.
"It does not surprise me, every year our most important players are wanted by the best in the world," the Atletico boss told the media ahead of Thursday's game with Getafe.
"It is normal to always look for the best – and we have many. Some have left and others have stayed, he added.
Oblak has been a key man since the return of football amid corona virus pandemic in Atletico going on a nine-match unbeaten run since the mid kick off of the Spanish football.
