3 Things Barca Should Do To Become Great Again

The dismal state of FC Barcelona is disheartening. A club that was once the hallmark of football are now heavily in debt and playing below-par football.

Here are three things that can make Barca back to their best once more:

Never think they can be Real Madrid :

The idea that Real Madrid and Barcelona buy and play the best players is a myth. Real Madrid's culture is about buying the best players with record fees and crazy wages. They don’t have a culture or school. It is hard to define the type of football they play. But Barcelona was never that kind of club. Great players came to the club like Ronaldinho, Henry, Yaya Toure, Eto, etc. but these players didn’t cost extraordinary fees and wages except for Ibrahimovich. Ronaldinho wasn’t a superstar when he first came, Henry, Eto, and Toure all came for reasonable prices. Between 2009 to 2013 it was assumed that the best players play for Real and Barca but in the Barca starting lineup 9 to 10 players were from La Masia academy. Valdes, Pique, Puyol, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Pedro, Thiago, Jordi alba. Some like Fabregas, Alves, and Villa came for cheap fees. La Masia was the foundation of Barca’s success from 2009–17, not their Brand. The board thought otherwise and it went wrong from 2017. Signing players is necessary for every club but spending Gigantic fees is not Barcelona’s nature.

Appoint Managers who only love Barcelona:

Pep Guardiola wasn’t just a guy that was trying to be a good coach, he loved Barcelona and wanted to achieve everything with them. There are many world-class out there with visions and systems but Barcelona not playing tiki-taka is disastrous.

Promote La Masia

Giving chances to youngsters should be a priority to whoever comes in. If Barca produced a golden generation back in 2009 why not now. Puig and Pedri can be the new Xavi Iniesta, Fati can be the new Pedro. I’m sure there are many talents there too.
