Thomas Tuchel's appointment has proven to be one of the best decisions Roman Abramovic made last season. After Frank Lampard failed to coordinate this Chelsea team which was endowed with so many talents, Tuchel's performance last season was enough to make Chelsea give him the funds to sign the players of his choice. Thomas Tuchel finally succeeded in bringing in players that will be able to strengthen his squad this season.
Chelsea's decision to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer was not an easy one for them as they spent a whopping £118 million for the striker who did not fail to make his mark in the Premier League immediately he arrived. Be it as it may, Lukaku have turned out to be one of Chelsea's key players as he has improved their attack.
Romelu Lukaku has not delivered for Chelsea in their last five games and this is now becoming a problem for both Tuchel and Lukaku. However, the Belgian attacker has not failed to reveal what he thinks the problem is. The striker revealed that his teammates gives him passes in a position in which he will be backing the goal post.
Going into this international break, Tuchel will be expected to come up with a tactical game plan that will help Lukaku return to his excellent form. Lukaku is an excellent goal scorer when in a Belgium shirt as the striker has a very good record of 50 goals in his last 50 appearances. If he delivers for Belgium during this international break, it will help him regain his confidence and also allow Tuchel to take note of his positioning in that Belgium team.
Chelsea's next game will be against Brentford and Tuchel will be expected to bring his A-game for that game if he wants to win.
