According to AS, Barcelona youngster Gavi would be promoted immediately from Juvenil A to the first team. It's huge news since just a few young people get the chance to skip the intermediate B team.
The 17-year-old La Masia product has already made his Ronald Koeman side debut. The teenager came in late in the game for Martin Braithwaite in the third matchday against Getafe.
The lad made his debut after a great preseason. Gavi was a vital part of the midfield in the build-up to the season, and he is currently the fourth-youngest player to debut for Barcelona's first team, behind Vicenc Martinez, Ansu Fati, and Bojan Krkic.
Gavi was not named on the Barcelona B squad list for the 2021-22 season, which was just revealed. This increased rumors about his elevation.
If Gavi is promoted to the first team, he will be up against Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Sergi Roberto for a starting spot. At his young age, though, this is the ideal moment for him to pick up his game and continue his development.
