Ajeromi Ifelodun Sports Summit 2.0

Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, DG On Sports McAnthony Anaelechukwu ; It is another time of the year to call ourselves to the drawing board and figure out the problems bedeviling sports development in our communities. Achievements made over time can be adduced to the collective efforts of people and corporate institutions that believe strongly in the Ajegunle dream and what the Ajeromi Ifelodun Sports Council is set out to achieve.

We have a 10 year plan to position our own community at the pinnacle of World Sports, and be rest assured that we can't do it without you. Yes You!!! You that believes Ajegunle can be great again. You that believe Ajegunle is the hub of Sporting talents. You that believe in that unique dream that one day, the world shall troop to Ajegunle to take out sporting talents in Football, Basketball, Boxing, Athletics, Handball and Taekwondo as these are the selected sports we are set to churn out talents on a regular.

Ajeromi Ifelodun Sports Summit 1.0

In the Ajeromi Ifelodun Sports Summit 1.0, we had the likes of Godwin Enakhena, Austin Popo, Ifeanyi Udeze, Mr. Agbade (Technical Director, Lagos State Basketball Association) and other notable ex internationals and seasoned journalists that turned out to impact on us, what they had achieved over the years.

This year, we are taking it to a whole new level to bring to the fore, Community Ownership of Grassroots Sports Development. We indeed want to see sports as a route out of unemployment and youth restiveness in one of the largest populated communities in the whole of West Africa.

Join Chioma Ajunwa (MON); Tijani Babangida (MON); Quintessential journalist, Desmond Ekwueme and Business Guru, High Chief Michael Orobosa Ubogu. Not forgetting Players' activist and exponent of Community ownership of clubs, Austin Popo, UEFA licensed Coach, Peter Nieketein and my humble self as we proffer workable solutions that will enable us get out of the quagmire we have found ourselves due to maladministration and the nonchalant attitude of our people towards communal involvement in sports development in our clime.

May 11, 2021 is going to be electrifying and you can't afford to miss it. Sadly enough, it is going to be strictly by invitation that will only be given to Traditional Rulers, Corporate Bodies, Business men/women, School Owners, Parents, CDA Executives and selected coaches and sports teachers across our institutions of learning.

Not to worry, there will be dedicated channels where you can see the event and contribute your own quota. This shall be communicated to you over time.

Together, we can make it work.
