Big games are occasions when top players show true character. The tension, pressure, atmosphere at stadium, history etc., are the factors that must be overcome to prove your pedigree as a top notch player.

However, there are players who beat the odd to produce astounding performances in these games.

7. Ronaldinho

Messi has been superb against the top oppositions both in the domestic league and o Europe. He holds an incredible record against Athletico Madrid, AC Milan, Arsenal etc. He never disappoints on big occasions, which is why he is six(6) times Ballon d'Or winner.

3. Sergio Ramos

The most decorated defender in the history of La Liga and one of the best in football history.

He contributed greatly to Madrid's three consecutive Champions League Glory between 2016-2018.

1. Didier Drogba

Drogba is one of the finest players in the history of the premier league. He's notable for his prowess in the air, retention of ball, skill, strength and creativity. He has an amazing record when it comes to big games.
