Ranking The 9 Most Consistent Goalscorers across The Five Major Leagues In Europe For 2021/22 Season

The Five Major Leagues in the world include the La Liga, English Premier League, Italian Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. The French League is one game ahead of other leagues due to its early start in August.

Since the start of the season, we've witnessed attackers score wonderful goals both in and outside the 18-yard box as well as great header goals. Amongst these scorers, there have been ones who have been consistent for their teams in moments when they are needed to most.

Today we shall look at some of these attackers including the number of goals and assists created in this current season across all competitions.

1. Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Münich)

Robert Lewandowski is the most consistent and prolific goalscorer across the major Leagues in Europe with many good goals under his belt. His physique, brilliance and shot technique is a great arsenal for the Polish striker.

He has scored 11 goals in 7 appearances for the Bavarian Giants. The beauty of it is that he had banged goals in all seven appearances with two coming against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League and a hat trick in their match against Hertha Berlin.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Cristiano Ronaldo completed his return to Manchester United in the summer transfer window after signing a two-year deal with an option to extend by another year.

He kicked off his campaign immediately with a brace on his second debut and have continued the form by scoring in back to back games against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League and West Ham United in the EPL.

He had therefore scored a total of 4 goals in 4 appearances for the club and looks hungry for more goals.

3. Mohamed Salah ( Liverpool)

Mohamed Salah has been at his very best for the last three seasons now and is reportedly on the verge of not signing a new contract with the Reds as he wants an upgrade in his wages.

The Egyptian legend has scored five goals and provided two assists in six appearances for his side. He has failed to score once which was against Burnley in the English Premier League fixture after his goal was ruled out by VAR.

4. Michail Antonio ( West Ham United)

Michail Antonio missed their match against Manchester United at the London Stadium due to suspension after picking up a red card in the match against Southampton.

He has scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in his 5 appearances for the Hammers. He was also voted August player of the month owing to his great contributions to the club and individually.

Despite the suspension in the English Premier League, he was called into action in their Europa League fixture against Dinamo Zagreb, in which he scored the opener.

5. Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund)

Erling Haaland is one of the talented strikers across the major Leagues despite such a young age. He has taken the Bundesliga and Europe by storm with outstanding performances week in and out.

Across all competitions played this season, the tall Norwegian striker has failed to score on two occasions with one in the DFB Super Cup against rivals; Bayern Münich. He has scored a whopping 11 goals and provided 4 assists in 8 appearances for the club.

6. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Karim Benzema has stood up to the occasion since Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in 2018, guiding them to the second position in the last campaign. He has started this season on a high flier by netting six goals and providing five assists in his six appearances for the Galacticos. He has failed to score on two occasions for the Spanish capital club

7. Ciro Immobilé (Lazio Roma)

Ciro Immobilé is an Italian striker and an exquisite goalscorer for both club and country. He was superb for his country in their recent EURO 2020 win.

He has been in great form for Lazio in the Italian Serie A with five goals in his five appearances for the club. He has only failed to score against AC Milan and Galatasaray in the Europa League.

8. Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea)

Lukaku has been inconsistent form for his club since his mega-money from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.

He scored on his second debut against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and also in their games against Aston Villa(2) and Zenit Saint Petersburg in the UEFA Champions League.

Lukaku might have scored four goals in five matches across all competitions but he isn't the most consistent as he has failed to provide an assist in the absence of his goals for the club.

9. Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint Germain)

Kylian Mbappé is another top striker who has been at his best for over four seasons and still counting. He finished as Ligue 1 top scorer in the last campaign and had begun this season on a great start.

However, he has failed to score in their last two games but hasn't stopped providing assists in those games. He has scored four goals and provided four assists in seven appearances across all competitions.
