It was a day of mixed fortunes for Nigerian clubs in the continent as Platea United lost at home while Enyimba won away from Home.
Plateau United who got the ticket to represent Nigeria at the 2021 Caf Champions league has lost the first leg of the preliminary round of fixtures at home.
The home were stunned by visiting Simba Fc of Tanzania in Nigeria when Cleotus Chama scored in the 53rd minute which proved to be the match winner much to the dismay of Abdu Maikaba,the coach of Platea United.

In Burkina Faso Two times Caf Champions league winners, Enyimba FC needed a 76th minute strike from Victor Mbaoma after a goal less first half to snatch all 3 points away from home against home team, Rahimo FC.

The away win puts Enyimba in pole position to qualify for the next round when the return leg takes place in Aba in next week.
Platea United must dig deep if they must make it to the next round by overturning the 1-0 defeat in Tanzania, a task many have seen as a tough one for Plateau United.
