German coach reveals what Chelsea Board did to him before appointing Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea sacked Manager and former Legendary player, Frank Lampard and replaced him with German Coach, Thomas Tuchel. Lampard oversaw a period of a bad dip in form and poor results which led to his dismissal.

Chelsea hired former PSG gaffer, Thomas Tuchel but they actually contacted another German prior to Tuchel's appointment. Former RB Leibzig, Manager, Ralf Rangnick has now revealed that the Chelsea Board contacted him over the possibility of taking over Frank Lampard which he accepted but later refused to a condition he did not like.

He disclosed that Marina Granovskaia and the Chelsea Board only offered him a 4 months contract meaning he would just manage the team till the end of the current season. He refused this working condition explaining he is not a short term Manager.

He however believes Thomas Tuchel will do a great job at Chelsea, wishing his compatriot all the best of luck.
