The Nigerian football national team popularly called Super Eagles is no doubt one of the best national team in Africa. That the national team is well-known today is because of former players like Taye Taiwo who played their best for the country. Taye Ismaila Taiwo who is fondly called Taye Taiwo is a well-known former Nigerian professional footballer. He often wear the number 3 jersey for the Super Eagles and played as a left back defender. He is highly gifted, creative and talented as far as playing football is concern. The former Milan of Italy left back is currently playing for Palm Beach Stars.

Taiwo who will be clocking 36 years old by April was born on the 16th of April, 1985 in Lagos State of Nigeria. He is devoted Muslim who has five siblings (three brothers and two sisters).

The ex-Nigerian player, Taiwo began his youth football career with Gabros International Football Club (2003-2004), before joining another Nigerian club called Lobi Stars Football Club. He made 54 appearances for the Nigerian national team in the year 2012 to 2012 and scored total of 8 beautiful goals.

Taye Taiwo in the cause of his football career has played for several foreign clubs such as Marseille, Milan, QPR, Dynamo Kyiv, Bursaspor, HJK Helsinki, Lausanne FC Eskilstura and now plays for Palm Beach Stars.

The strong and talented defender has equally gotten numerous football honours like UEFA Intertoto Cup (2005), Coupe de la Ligue (2009-2010 and 2010-2011), 2010 Trophee des Champions, 2006 Africa Cup of Nation third place, 2006 Caf Most Promising Talent of the Year and Ligue 1 Team of the Year (2007-2008, 2008-2009 and 2010-2011).

The 2006 Caf Most Promising Talent Winner, Taye Taiwo is a married man. He is married to his beautiful wife called Nimota.
