Some Chelsea Fans Upset After Tuchel Left Out Sterling From Last Night's Match Against Tottenham

Chelsea fans expressed their disappointment on social media after learning that Dujon Sterling had been left out of the team for yesterday's match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Sterling had played in each of the previous friendlies, against Bournemouth and Arsenal, but was completely absent from last night's lineup.

This is a significant blow for the player on multiple levels as a result of this.

For starters, it suggests that Thomas Tuchel will not include the defender in his first-team camp this season.

Which is a disappointment given how well he'd played away to Bournemouth and Arsenal.

But, perhaps most painfully, he passed up the chance to perform in front of a sold-out Stamford Bridge crowd.

Blues fans were disappointed not to see Sterling in person.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Will be incredibly disappointed if it means he is leaving  https://t.co/Ahwz5MEkbE

Disappointed. He has everything to make it to the first team . Will be gutted if he goes on loan.

Tuchel, on the other hand, is said to have been impressed with the 21-year-old during training over the previous month.

Chelsea were rumored to be prepared to offer him a new deal.

Unfortunately, no news of the extension has surfaced, and Sterling might be relegated to another loan or development team campaign.
