Chelsea are currently one point and one place below Liverpool in the fourth place on the English premier league table and with a game in hand. On Monday night the Londoners will host Newcastle United with one thing in mind, victory. I will take through Chelsea's next four matches in all competitions.
First of these crucial and decisive games is a tricky one against the magpies at Stamford Bridge on Monday night. It is a must win for Chelsea who are just one point behind Liverpool in fourth and a win for Chelsea will see them go fourth on the table with 42 points. Chelsea will certainly do all they can to get all the three points at stake.
The next game will be against Southampton, the saints at the moment are currently on a poor run, having lost their last three premier league game. Chelsea will be hoping to capitalize on the saints poor form to get all three points. This certainly will present its own challenges and Chelsea will have to win as they will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel. If they win against Newcastle and go fourth then they to win Southampton to remain fourth or go third.
Taking a break from the premier league, Chelsea will travel to Bucharest, Romania the venue of their last 16 clash with Atletico Madrid, this match could be decisive for Chelsea quest for another European glory since 2012.
Few weeks ago Chelsea was no where near Manchester United but since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea have gone five places up the table and are six points behind Manchester United in second place and with a game in hand.
The match against Manchester United could be a battle of top two and the out come of the result will definitely be decisive for who finishes in top four. A win for Chelsea could see them go above Manchester United and Leicester City.
The premier league table will certainly change after these four matches.
