Arsenal's goalkeeper; Bernd Leno injury update

Arsenal first choice goalkeeper; Bernd Leno left the game against Brighton in a stretcher with what seems to be a serious knee injury. The 27-year old German international left the pitch in the 36th minutes of a goalless first half after a collision with Brighton forward Neil Maupay.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta refused to criticise Maupay after his role in the incident. The Spaniard is now left cursing his luck on the sidelines as the Gunners have been ravaged by injuries since his arrival in late December.

Mikel Arteta said after the match against Brighton that the German shotstopper injury doesn't look good but he doesn't know anything yet about the return date of Bernd Leno.

Losing Leno who has been the most consistent player for the Gunners this season is a monster blow and if the injury is as serious as it looked on the pitch, then Arsenal will be in a big trouble as the try to keep their faint hope of the Champions and Europa league qualification alive.
