Fabrizio Romano conducts poll to checkout fans' favourite player among Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar

The never-ending debate in the football community remains who is the greatest to kick the round leather ball. A lot of arguments and debate has been made by journalists, football pundits and most importantly lovers of the beautiful game.

For the old, Pele and Diego Maradona remain the best to have graced the game while for the millennials, Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the greatest to have played the sport.

Cristiano Ronaldo can boast of having 5 Ballon D'or award while Leo Messi have 6 golden balls to his name. Yesterday, the transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, someone football lovers trust a lot, took to his Facebook page to conduct a poll to determine the greatest player of all time. He shortlisted Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr for the title using an emoji to represent each of them.

Ronaldo's strong start to the season with Manchester United put him in the first position with 31,000 votes out of the total 67,000. Messi came second with 26,000 while Neymar Jr came third with 9,100 votes.

Neymar is a talent to behold. Inconsistency have dealt him a big deal and has made him miss a lot of individual awards but he is a very skillful player.

Ronaldo on the other hand has proven age is just a number. At 36 years of age, he is still at the highest level of his career. He has 5 Ballon D'ors award to his name and is currently having a season to remember with Manchester United as he has scored in all games he has played for the red devils.

In my opinion, Leo Messi remains the greatest regardless of his slow start to the season. According to Jamie Carragher, Messi is both a prolific goal scorer and a playmaker. He assists, dribbles, create plays and also scores. With 6 Ballon D'ors to his name and a 7th loading, he remains my all-time greatest of all time.

Who is your greatest player of all time and why do you choose him?
