From A Footballer To Being A Watchmaker- Former Arsenal Player Starts A New Venture After Retirement

As a footballer, it gets to a certain age where your body can no longer go with the tempo of the game and you have no choice than to hang the boots. Many professional players plan for their retirement by opening restaurant or running a hotel just to keep them busy after retirement. To keep him busy, former Arsenal defender, Stephan Lichtsteiner is now a watchmaker.

After many good years in Italy, Stephan Lichtsteiner was signed for Arsenal from Juventus so as to bring leadership in the back four and to be a back up for Hector Bellerin. He couldn't flow with the high tempo of the premier league and performed poorly.

After his one year contract expired, he was let go and he joined another team. Following his retirement, he has chose to be a watchmaker.

A good diversification in my opinion and it would fetch him money rather than staying idle. That is why workers should always plan for life after retirement.
