In the 73 minutes, Madrid was awarded a penalty, for Villarreal player, tripping Sergio Ramos. Ramos took the penalty kick, which was canceled, by the Referee and demand retake. Karim Benzema scored his second goal of the matches after converting the penalty, in 77 minutes.
Villareal scored a consolation goal in 83 minutes, and pile up pressure on Madrid, but Madrid held firm to their 2-1 victory over Villarreal. The victory made them Champions of Spain for the 34th time.

Zinedine Zidane again, being thrown into the air by his Real Madrid players in another title celebration.
Club president Perez paid tribute to his players and coach Zidane after they wrapped up the title on Thursday, saying their triumph after the long pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic would forever be remembered.
Madrid's first major trophy since the departure of all-time top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018 is, therefore, a massive achievement.
Madrid fully deserved to win 34th La Liga.
