19-year-old Daniel Maldini, who is the son of former Italian professional footballer and AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini, scored his first Serie A goal for the season for AC Milan, in just his first start for the season in their game against Spezia.
Taking up centre stage the young Maldini who is now the third of the Maldini's to play for AC Milan, seized his moment in the 48-minute of the second half of the game after a throw-in found a Pierre Kalulu who had to supply the needed cross for Daniel Maldini who was at the right place at the right time to head the ball home.
A goal in his first start for the season is enough to make a positive impression in the heart of Stefano Pioli and will also do more to make his dad Paolo Maldini who was watching his son from the stands proud. Heaving a sigh of relief, old Maldini will walk away from the stands, with a gesture of accomplishment, that his boy is doing it the way it ought to be done.
