Why Victor Osimhen Can Be Better Than Rashidi Yekini and Yakubu Aiyegbeni

Victor Osimhen is one of the young strikers who have been tipped to become a great finisher in the next few years.

Osimhen joined Napoli in a £70m deal last summer, and he scored 12 goals in 17 starts for the Azzurri so far, and one can bet on him to score more before the end of the season.

Osimhen has been likened to great strikers like, Rashidi Yekini and Yakubu Aiyegbeni by the Nigerian media, but, I think he is more complete and can be better than the two legends.

Rashidi Yekini and Yakubu Aiyegbeni are just pure goalscorers, but Victor Osimhen is much more than that because, he's more technical, faster than taller.

Osimhen does not just score goals, He stretches opponent defense with his pace and power, just like he did against Leicester City on Thursday night.

The 22-year-old is also capable of carrying the ball from deep area and link up with the wingers , something Aiyegbeni and Rashidi didn't do often in their time.

While Aiyegbeni and Rashidi like to wait for supply in the box, Osimhen love to make good runs in-behind, to connect with the through ball.

Furthermore , he's one of the few numbers 9, with great work rate, because he loves to press from the front and also assist his teammates.

Osimhen's technical ability is seen by the way he often scores goals out of nothing. His first touch and finishing are superb, and it is safe to say, he can convert three out of four clear chances.

He's more of a driving force for Napoli and Super Eagles because he fits into many systems of play and can score with left, right, and his head.

However, saying Osimhen is more complete, doesn't mean, he has eclipse what Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Rashidi have done in their career.

Osimhen still has a long way to go, but should he avoid injuries and stay discipline, he will surely write his own story in gold.
