Reno has warned parents to stop discouraging their children from pursuing their passion. He revealed that the time were children had to go to school, get a good job, retire and wait for pension has gone.
Therefore, it is a different time now. He noted that it is not compulsory for every child goes to school.
He mentioned several celebrities of the world who did not go to school but are very successful. He mentioned the like of Christian Ronaldo, a Portuguese striker who is one of the richest footballers in the world, yet, he is not academically inclined.
"Don’t discourage your children from their passion because you want them to focus on academics. The School-Work-Pension way of life is no longer the only viable way of life. Ronaldo is not academically inclined, yet he is almost a billionaire."
Nevertheless, he noted that education is very important. But he asked a question that is supposed to be pondered upon.
"Education is very important, and having a degree is to be encouraged. However, how many PhDs do you know well outsell out London’s O2 Arena in two minutes, like Wizkid? Everybody has a purpose and a gift. Afeez Oyetoro (AKA Saka), was a lecturer and was dying in poverty. It was when he started his side hustle as a comedian that money started flowing like an ocean."
"Remember, the goal is not just to pass exams. The goal is to succeed", Reno said
