OFFICIAL: FC Porto Signs 16-Year Old Nigeria-Eligible Striker

FC Porto have announced the signing of 16-year old Nigeria eligible striker Jeremy Agbonifo

The Portuguese club in an official statement on their website said Agbonifo signed a professional contract and will be starting out with their U-17 squad.

The 16-year-old Swedish striker had already been at the club for two weeks, as José Semedo, assistant coach of the white and blue U-17s, revealed.

Already handed the number 7 jersey, Agbonifo admitted that joining a big club like FC Porto is a great moment for him and his family.

He said: “It's amazing to be here. It's a childhood dream to play at a club like FC Porto and this is without a doubt a great moment for me and my family. FC Porto is a great club, known throughout the world. It's one of those clubs we've heard about early on and learned a lot about. FC Porto has a great history and I want to make my own history here.

Agbonifo described himself as a quick player, strong, with a good left foot and who knows how to score goals.

" I'm so happy to be here and I can't wait to play in this shirt,” he concluded.
