Manchester United has long been linked with a move for a striker who will serve as a long-term replacement for Edison Cavani. The Uruguay International will be set to leave Old Trafford after this season, and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been mentioned as his replacement.
Manchester United was able to strengthen their squad by signing Jodan Sancho and Raphael Varane to compete for major trophies this season after struggling for silverware last season.
However, according to the latest report, Manchester United will push very hard to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund next summer.
The Norwegian is widely considered one of the best strikers in Europe and has been in superb form since joining the German club from Salzburg.
Erling Haaland scored an impressive 27 goals and provided six assists in 28 games last season, and going into this season the Norwegian has also scored two goals and two assists in a single game.
The young talent was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, but a deal could not materialize and Chelsea opted for Lukaku.
Manchester United are also interested in signing the striker, and according to the report, the Red Devils are likely to revive their interest in signing Erling Haaland next summer.
