While we all know that Ronaldo has been a prolific scorer for Manchester United, he is yet to even make the top 15 highest goal scorers for the club at the moment. His tally of 122 goals is impressive on its own, but he still has a long way to go before he could catch up with the club greats.
Before he could make the top 5 it means that he would first have to enter the top 10, which means surpassing the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Brian McClair, Tommy Taylor, David Herd, Stan Pearson, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and Paul Scholes. Just to do this much alone, he would need no less than 23 goals in all competitions this season.
For a player of Ronaldo's quality, reaching 23 goals in all competitions should be easy but the real challenge would be making his way into the top five. To do that he would have to at least get more goals than Mark Hughes, Ryan Giggs, Joe Spence, George Best and Viollet Dennis and Jack Rowley. To reach this feat, he has to score at least 57 goals before leaving Manchester United.
Becoming the highest goal scorer at Manchester United might be currently out of the question as Wayne Rooney is a tad too far at 250 and Ronaldo doesn't really have age on his side.
