Schalke 04 said Friday they have requested police assurance at preparing one week from now after furious fans assaulted the group transport following the club's assignment from the Bundesliga. 
A huge gathering of angry allies pelted the group transport with eggs and faced players on their visitation of Gelsenkirchen early Wednesday after rout at Bielefeld saw Schalke consigned following 30 years in Germany's first division league(Bundesliga) 
The group has won only two of their 30 games this season.
A few players were allegedly followed to their homes and undermined in the wake of Tuesday's misfortune – their 21st association rout of 2020/21.
In any event one player's vehicle is said to have been severely harmed before police mediated.
Schalke have no game this end of the week, yet sports chief Peter Knaebel has requested police help when preparing resumes Monday.
In a proclamation Friday, Schalke said they have "effectively started measures to guarantee the wellbeing and security of the players and staff".
