MNU vs NEW: Ten Hag's Formidable Line-up That Could Help Man Utd beat Newcastle & end trophy drought

Manchester United head coach, Erik Ten Hag is likely to have two of first team players unavailable for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday.

The Dutch tactician has ruled France international, Anthony Martial out of the match despite the tricky forward returning to individual training recently, while Marcus Rashford who featured in the second leg against Barcelona has been deemed a doubt after he taken off due to a knock.

Christian Eriksen and Donny Van de Beek are long term absentees & are unlikely to travel with the squad for Sunday's match.

Ahead of the match against the Magpies, the 53-year-old will be faced with selection headaches in attack after Wout Weghorst proved unproductive & unaffected in the final third against the Blagurana in his 11tth appearance for the club.

The Netherlands international withdrawn at the interval for Antony whose brillant winner helped the Red Devils advance to the round of 16, the Brazil winger will feel confident of retaining his place in the starting eleven.

Rashford injury isn't that serious and he's expected to shake it off and occupy the centre forward role at the expense of Wout Weghorst, with Antony taking over at the right wing with Jadon Sancho operating from the right.

Fred and Casemiro will be form a strong midfield partnership after their heroics performance yesterday vs Barcelona, while the back four will remain unchanged.
