If you're to compare the amount of money Premier League Referees are earning weekly not even monthly, it will be a tip of an iceberg to what Nigeria Referees are collecting.
In Nigeria, the FIFA Technical Adviser on Refereeing stated that since there are numerous Leagues in Nigeria, that the amount of money a Nigeria Referee will earn will depend on the level of League he or she is officiating.
In the Nigeria Professional football League that has a total of 50 Referees and 130 assistant Referees who are to officiate in a single season, after passing through screenings. So it's eye-watering considering the amount this referee is paid

a few years ago the Nigeria Professional football League Referees clashed with the League Management Company over their officiating fees. Considering they have to travel and feed themselves with the salary they're being paid with, and no added bonus, not even adding accommodation fee.
Referees in the Nigeria top-flight League are between N70,000 - N100,000 per match they officiate.
Some of you might see it as a huge amount of money but considering all the expenses Referees have to go through, it's a little bit too small.
That's why No Nigeria match officials were recognized in the CAF Awards shortlist for Referees on the continent.
