Manchester City under-18 striker Tai Sodje has reportedly snubbed English call up as he awaits his opportunity to play for the Nigeria National team popularly known as the super eagles of Nigeria.
The promising youngster has been phenomenal for the youth team of Manchester City this season scoring 25 goals and 4 assists in 18 appearances.
According to the 18 year old uncle, he said, " it's clear that his desire is to play for Nigeria. That's explains why he isn't in the English youth team set up despite his fantastic goal return in the under-18 league for Manchester City".
We nigerians should be happy for his bold decision to not play for the English national team while waiting for the call from the Nigerian national team. The super eagles will become a great team to be reckoned with if all our players can play for the Nigerian national team.
