In her speech, the first Lady said that she has decided to collaborate with the Nigeria Football Federation to help promote and boost women football in Nigeria and also across the globe which will be done through the Aisha Buhari Football Tournament.
She also called on the international federation of Association football, the confederation of African Football (CAF) and also the Nigeria Football Federation to help by showing more support and encouragement to female football players with at the local level and also at international levels.
In her Statement, Aisha Buhari said she is confident that with football, we have an opportunity to influence and increase positive attitude towards gender equality and development.
