Liverpool are seeing their Premier League title defence go into the thin air, with the Reds not having much response to this grip they are losing on their aim to defend the title they won comfortably last season with many games to go.
This season has been a different one for the Merseyside team as they lie 4th on 40 points 10 points behind Manchester City, and 1 point ahead of the closest team behind them West Ham United 39 points on 5th.
Liverpool went into the game against Manchester City with hopes to cut City's lead on top to 4 points, but it was not so after Iikay Gundogan opened scores to spare his blushes after he missed a first half penalty, Mohammed Salah equalized from the penalty spot but Gundogan and Sterling scored in quick succession to secure the points, these two goals coming as a result of Alison Baker's mistakes, before Phil Foden rounded off the 1-4 win for Manchester City.
