Here's the Sanction Given to Two Football Teams For Violating Covid-19 Rules

As you all may know, there are a lot of rules governing football. Some of those rules are mild while some are heavy. several months ago, Manchester City was battling with whether they will be relegated because of the financial fair play breach allegations against them. It is a lucky one they escaped that trap. We see mild cases of football sanctions most of the times. The "heavy" ones are rare.

When it comes to the issue of Covid-19, it is hardly taken lightly because it can make things go wrong very fast. The good thing here is that other teams get to learn from the punishment given to those that violate laid down protocols. That way, it will be strictly observed.

Two teams, Kilmarnock and St Mirren placed at 6th and 11th position of the Scottish Premiership league table respectively have been given heavy sanctions for violating Covid-19 rules. They were both given 3-0 defeats & £40,000 fines according to BBC Sports. Motherwell and Hamilton Academical are at the advantage side; Motherwell was awarded two 3-0 Scottish Premier League wins while Academical was awarded one.

St Mirren & Kilmarnock given 3-0 defeats & £40,000 fines. The body in charge of this sanction, SPFL tribunal have pointed out that should try not to violate the rules again else they risk more sanctions.

Do they deserve the punishments?
