FIFA recently released the names of their best goalkeepers according to their ratings and analysis throughout the year. The list was released just this evening alongside the FIFA Balon D'or list and other major top performance lists ranging from women to young footballers.
The nominees for the 2021 Yachine Trophy are Gigi Donnarumma, Ederson, Kasper Schmeichel, Edouard Mendy, Thibaut Courtois, Keylor Navas, Emiliano Martinez, Manuel Neuer, Jan Oblak and Samir Handanovic.
Gigi Donnarumma is PSG first choice Goalkeeper who is sometimes substituted for Keylor Navas. Donnarumma has won the European Championship (Euro) this year with Italy this year and he has been part of the Italian team that went unbeaten for more than 35 games. Donnarumma is an expert too in keeping clean sheets at Club level and he showed he can do just that by keeping a clean sheet against Manchester City in their last UEFA Champions League match.
He is a clear favorite to win this award among the other contenders. What do you think?
