The Gunners opened the scoring through Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 19th minutes to end the first half 1-0 in favour of Mikel Arteta's team.
The former Borussia Dortmund star doubled the Gunners lead in the 71st minutes, to make it 2-0 after receiving an Excellent pass from Tierney, to book a spot in the final.
The Citizens tried all the best they could to score a goal, but determined Gunners denied them.
