"He's the King of Africa" Fans react as Aubameyang breaks 3 new records in Arsenal win over Man City

Arsenal defeated Manchester City 2-0 at Wembley stadium on Saturday night to reach the final of the English FA cup.

The Gunners opened the scoring through Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 19th minutes to end the first half 1-0 in favour of Mikel Arteta's team.

The former Borussia Dortmund star doubled the Gunners lead in the 71st minutes, to make it 2-0 after receiving an Excellent pass from Tierney, to book a spot in the final.

The Citizens tried all the best they could to score a goal, but determined Gunners denied them.

Here are the records broken by Aubameyang in Arsenal's victory over Manchester City according to OptaJoe.

There were 18 passes made in the build-up to Arsenal's opener in this game, with 10 of their 11 players being involved in the move for Aubameyang's goal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the fourth Arsenal player to score a competitive brace at Wembley Stadium, after Reg Lewis (1950 FA Cup final), Charlie Nicholas (1987 League Cup final) and Alexis Sánchez (2015 FA Cup semi-final).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 65+1=66 goals in all competitions for Arsenal; since his debut for the club in February 2018, the only Premier League player with more in this period is Mohamed Salah (68).

Arsenal had three shots on target in the opening 40 minutes - as many as they had managed in their three previous meetings with Manchester City combined.
