Things you should know about the New Real Madrid stadium Santiago Bernabeu

The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is currently undergoing renovations to make it one of the best stadiums in Europe, with Real Madrid spending over €600m on the project. The club plans to hold events 300 days a year at its stadium after it is finished, including concerts, business conferences, esports tournaments and even basketball and tennis matches.

The secret of such a multifunctional stadium is the retractable Bernabeus pitch, which can be removed after matches to allow the club to host a number of non-football-related events. Another feature is a roof that can be closed completely, offering visitors the opportunity to have panoramic views of the city from the top of its most iconic stadium.

The new Bernabeu also has state-of-the-art technology capable of projecting images across the entire exterior surface of the stadium, as well as a 360-degree scoreboard inside the stadium.

Another secret that Real Madrid has kept secret is the addition of an additional grandstand within the stadium, which will provide 4,000 additional seats.

A shopping center will be attached to the stadium, with a Real Madrid museum, multinational stores and several Michelin-starred restaurants, and the Plaza Sagrados Corazones has been pedestrianized, providing a green space for fans to gather before the match. The new Bernabéu will become the benchmark for all modern stadiums in the future.
