Top Six most unexpected transfers In 2021/2022 Season

There exists an old saying, “There are three certainties in life – death, taxes and unexpected transfers in the football market”. Okay so it isn’t really a saying at all but you get the point. The football transfer market has always had plenty of scope for unpredictability. As such, when a few left-of-field deals take place, it leaves fans in shock and awe. The 2021 transfer market is widely seen as one of the most crazy ones in recent memory. As such, this window saw not just a few but a great many deals take place which no one expected would happen.

6. Eduardo Camavinga

The Frenchman is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young prospects in world football. Camavinga was looking to make the move from Rennes this summer but was close to accepting that he would have to stay put for the summer, with his dream clubs looking to do business elsewhere. However, with Real Madrid being frustrated in their efforts to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG,  Los Blancos paid the fee to sign the youngster late on deadline day to bring him to Santiago Bernabeau.

5. TAKEHIRO TOMIYASU

Bologna to Arsenal

Having signed in 2019 from Belgian side Sint-Truiden for around €9m, Bologna have made a decent profit and can help secure their financial future for a while with this deal. The Japan international will be missed, but they couldn't block his move for long.

Arsenal were under pressure as the deadline ticked down to find a replacement for Hector Bellerin as Ainsley Maitland-Niles made it clear he wanted out. Tomiyasu isn't the kind of signing that will get Gunners fans that excited, but at 23 he has room to grow and can play either centre-back or right-back.

4. Antoine Griezmann

Barcelona to Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid managed to get Griezmann back in the last few hours of deadline day by securing a loan for the French forward from Barcelona. The 30-year-old Griezmann returns to Atlético on a one-year loan with the option for another, renewable by either club. He played two seasons with Barcelona, where he never quite found his stride since joining on a fee of 120 million euros (USD 142 million).

He had played five seasons under coach Diego Simeone at Atlético.

3. Sergio Ramos

Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain

PSG, forever under the microscope of financial fair play rules, did well on the free transfer market this year. Ramos may have lost a step from his glory days, but the veteran Spanish defender has been in every big moment and knows what it takes to win. That’s something a club looking for continental glory needs.

2. Lionel Messi

Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain

Do anybody expect lionel messi could leave Barcelona this season? No body ever believe it could happen. Messi join it river club in uefa champions league, Paris saint germain on free transfer. Scoring just one goal so far this season, we expect the Barcelona legend to prove is worth this season.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus to Manchester United

Manchester United announced that Cristiano Ronaldo was returning to the club on Friday before confirming the deal on deadline day. Despite ending last season as the top scorer in Serie A, with 29 goals enough for the 36-year-old to win the Capocannoniere, Ronaldo has not been considered a huge success in Italy by everyone. United fans are excited for his return, though, as they seek to close the gap between themselves and champions Manchester City.
