After spending five years at the Arsenal, Zech Medley is set to join K.V Oostende on a permanent basis. The 20-year-old joined Arsenal from Chelsea in 2016 and has previously featured in the Europa League.

In search for more game time, Zech Medley spent the whole of last season on loan at Gillingham and Kilmarnock, but now, he is expected to head to Belgium in the coming days. According to England journalist, Chris Wheatley, Arsenal may benefit from any future deal as they have inserted a sell-on clause into the deal.

After joining from Chelsea in 2016, Medley became a key member of the U-23 side. His good performances earned him a first team appearance in a Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava in 2019. It is believed that Mikel Arteta wants to keep the youngster, but he wants regular football.
With Arteta quest for success next season, Medley may hardly get any playing time with the first team and so, I think he made the right decision.
