Breaking: How Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipeline project will revive moribund companies — Okwuosa, Oilserv boss

Emeka Okwuosa is the Chairman, Oilserv Limited, lead contractor for the first segment of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano AKK, 614km-long pipeline project being developed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. In this interview, Okwuosa says when there is energy in the form of gas, moribund industries within the pipeline corridor will have the impetus to kick start again, and also stimulate start-ups.

Breaking: Ekiti labour threatens strike, issues 14-day ultimatum

Ekiti State organised labour, has given a 14-day ultimatum to Governor Kayode Fayemi to pay all outstanding benefits to workers or face three days warning strike.

The union gave the ultimatum in a letter dated July 16, addressed to Fayemi and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.

Breaking; Federal High Court suspends transfer of judges

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has suspended indefinitely the annual redeployment of the court’s judges which began nearly eight months ago.

Justice Tsoho said the suspension followed the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Breaking: Leeds win Championship title, return to EPL

LEEDS United have been handed the Championship title following Brentford’s defeat against Stoke.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men sealed promotion to the Premier League on Friday night without kicking a ball after second-placed West Brom lost 2-1 at Huddersfield.

That put the Bees in the driving seat for the second automatic spot but Stoke’s win means Leeds cannot be caught at the Championship summit.

Leeds will now head to Pride Park on Sunday to face Derby – the side who beat them in the play-offs last year – with their first silverware for 28 years already secured and with two games left to play.
