D'Tigress clinches 3rd Afrobasket title in a row.

The female basketball team of Nigeria popularly known as the D’Tigress is Africa Champions once again for the third time in a row. The D’Tigress defeated their Malian counterpart 79-59 inside the indoor hall of the Palais Polyvalent des Sports in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The D’Tigress had earlier won the past two editions of the Afrobasket tournament and made it a hat trick of a win yesterday over Mali. The coach Otis Hughley's tutored side ran out clear winners over their opponent in what was an end-to-end encounter. The D’Tigress won the first quarter with 22-11, the Malians rallied back in the second half and won 13-9 but at the end, it ended 70-59 in favor of the D'Tigress of Nigeria.
