Ole apologizes for smiling after Manchester United defeat to Watford

Manchester United were outclassed by Claudio Ranieri's men at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon. They fell to a 4 - 1 defeat to Watford, leaving the club 12 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Scenes after the match were tense as Bruno Fernandez was seen arguing with supporters and Ole Gunner Solskjaer was booed off by fans. But despite things looking bleak for United, Solskjaer bizarrely smiled when giving his reaction to the woeful display.

Asked why his players weren't in the right frame of mind going into the match, Solskjaer laughed before answering the question.

The Norwegian, however, was quick to apologize for smiling; "Sorry for smiling there, but that's human beings".

Solskjaer went on to hint on his future when he said he believes in his self to still turn things around for Manchester United.

"I always have belief in myself, but at the moment it's a difficult time for us. I can trust every single one of there to give what they have, but the results are difficult.

"I believe we can turn this round. I understand the fans, who have supported the club through thick and thin, and have been great over the last few years."

Manchester United currently sits 7th in the premier league table, conceding 21 goals already this season.
