It is rare for teenagers to score against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. In fact, only two of such players have found the back of the net at the Gunners' home ground. Who are these exceptional youngsters?
The younger of the duo is Rafael Pereira da Silva (aka Rafael). This Brazilian defender did it for Manchester United when they were hosted by the Gunners on November 8, 2008. The 1.72m tall was about 4 months above 18 years of age during the match day 12 encounter. Rafael scored a regulation time consolation goal for the Red Devils to end the game at 2-1. Interestingly, he was a substitute in the match as he came in for Captain Gary Neville in the 63rd minute. Meanwhile, the goal was the first of his goal for the Manchester outfit.
Julio Enciso is the second youngest visiting player to score a Premier League goal against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. The Dutch striker was 111 days older than 19 years when he netted in the match day 36. The former Libertad star had joined the Seagulls in July, 2022. The Paraguay international scored the opener 6 minutes into the second half. His headed goal was followed by late goals by Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupiñán. This gave the visitors a 3-0 win over their hosts.
