Barcelona have accelerated talks with Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense over the signing of 18-year-old striker Vitor Roque, according to Relevo as reported by GOAL. The Catalans are well aware of the fact that the operation will cost north of €40 million, but they are keen on signing one of the hottest prospects in world football at the moment in Roque as they believe he is the heir to Robert Lewandowski, who will turn 35 in the summer.

Marcus Thuram's contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move away from Borrusia Monchengladbach in the summer. According to reports in Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona are ready to pounce on the opportunity. The Catalan side see the Frenchman as an ideal option to bolster their attack. Arsenal and Chelsea have also shown interest in the forward.
Chelsea Women to sign goalkeeper Evrard
Chelsea have signed Nicky Evrard from OH Leuven on a pre-contract agreement, with the Belgium goalkeeper set to join in the summer. Evrard, 27, capped 61 times by her country, has agreed a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2026 and will arrive in time for next season.
Blues boss Emma Hayes said: "Nicky will be a great addition to our squad, certainly she showed her quality and her talent in the Euros last summer. Coming into a full-time, professional environment will certainly help her take the steps in the next direction. I know she will complement Ann (Ann-Katrin Berger) and Zecira (Musovic) and add to our goalkeeping union."
