Chelsea football team arrived Sevilla yesterday ahead of the second match with Porto FC which is to be held in a neutral group. Champion League matches are being played in neutral in compliance to the covid-19 pandemic guideline. The first leg of the knock out stage were played last week and actions for the second leg will return today.
After a well disgracing 2-5 defeat, Chelsea witnesses at the hand of Westbrom, they were able to get their act together and defeated Porto FC, 2-0 in their first leg encounter. It was a good victory for Chelsea FC, their manager Thomas Tuchel had promised that his team would soar above what happened to them at home against Westbrom.
After their unbeaten run was ended by Westbrom, they took on Crystal Palace over the weekend, where they still showed the Premier league teams and other European teams that they are still on form, by trashing Crystal Palace 1-4 away. Chelsea scored 3 goals in the first half of the match, two goals came under 10 minutes of kickoff time.
Christian Pulisci who has been rumoured could leave Chelsea very soon was on the score sheet for Chelsea. The match against Crystal Palace was a crucial match for Chelsea because the world were watching to see if Thomas Tuchel Chelsea would be lasted a second defeat, but unfortunately, the proved people wrong and equally sent message to Porto with the 1-4 victory.
As the round of 16 action begins tonight, Chelsea FC is currently having the advantage over Porto FC with their 2-0 victory in the first leg, however many have argued that Porto FC still have opportunity as they can possible defeat and knock Chelsea out in the match tonight. The possible of these happening is very slim but again, it is the game of football where the impossible do happen.
Chelsea could play Thaigo Silva in the match tonight against Porto, who could be coming back from suspension after his action of receiving a red card that can be said lead to the 2-5 defeat at Stamford bridge.
