Manchester United who made a wonderful 3-2 comeback win on Wednesday in their Champions League game against Atalanta would be hoping to take a win at home after loosing two out of their three Premier league games.
And their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who have received a lot of pressure and criticisms would be seeking a win to retain the faith of the Manchester United's board for the time being. The gaffer's side has been struggling after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho this summer.
While Liverpool on the other side are still unbeaten in all competitions since the season commenced, third-placed Liverpool are four point behind PL leaders Chelsea and are the only team in the top flight without a single defeat to show from their opening eight matches.
After a mid-week success over Atletico also marked the ninth game in a row that Klopp's side have scored at least and the Reds have won nine and drawn two of their last 11 away matches in the league since a 3-1 defeat to Leicester City back in February.
Manchester United will be without Raphael Varane who is out injured, while Marcus Rashford and Fred are doubts after coming off injured against Atalanta mid-week. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed Bruno Fernandes suffered a knock after Atalanta's game and that he's optimistic of the player's development before the kick-off. Amad Diallo and Anthony Martial are back and being in contention to be in the team after both players returned from injuries.
Liverpool are without Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott who have been ruled out due to injuries. With Curtis Jones hoping to be in contention to feature in the game.
The match is to kick-off this afternoon by 4:00pm W.A.T at Old Trafford
