What Dani Alves Told Barcelona Boards of Staff Before Leaving For Juventus

Daniel Alves Da Silva, commonly known as Dani Alves, was born into a working class family on May 6th 1983, in Juazeiro, a city in the Brazilian State of Bahía.

Dani supported his family in any way he could, working as a farmer, a trader or even as a waiter if necessary. The athlete though, always found time for his greatest passion: playing football with his friends in the surrounding fields. This would soon lead him to achieve his dream of becoming a professional football player, but he was always aware that it would be difficult to accomplish.

Neither would it be easy for Dani to arrive at the sports facilities to train because they were located far from his village, Juazeiro.

Dani Alves made a speech before leaving for the Italian Giant club saying, "Before I went to Juventus, I made a final promise to the board at Barcelona. I said, “You’re going to miss me.”

"I didn’t mean as a player. Barca have plenty of incredible players. What I meant was that they were going to miss my spirit. They were going to miss the care I had for the dressing room. They were going to miss the blood I spilled every time I put on the shirt".

"People see me and they say, "Dani’s always joking. He’s always smiling. He’s not serious." But the truth is before I go up against the best forwards in the world — Messi, Neymar, Cristiano — I study their strengths and weaknesses like an obsession, and then I plan how I am going to attack. My goal is to show the world that Dani Alves is on the same level. Maybe they will dribble past me once or twice. Sure, O.K. But I will attack them, too. I don’t want to be invisible. I want the stage. Even at 36 years old, after 40 trophies, I still feel I have to prove this every time.”

"And when Sergi Roberto performed a miracle in the 95th minute? Like every other Barca fan in the world, I was going absolutely crazy. Because the truth is that Barcelona is still in my blood."

Alot of barcelona fans are missing the absence of dani alves because currently there isn't any player that is fit to replace his absence.
