UEFA Champions League

PSG vs MCI: Match Prediction, Preview And Kickoff Time

At the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night, Paris Saint-Germain will face Manchester City in a UEFA Champions League showdown. The hosts' group campaign got off to a shaky start, drawing 1-1 away to a Club Brugge team deserving of all three points. City, on the other hand, put on a display with a 6-3 win over RB Leipzig.

Last season's competition saw PSG and City meet in the semi-finals, with City winning both legs 4-1 on aggregate. They went on to lose their first UCL final, much like PSG had the year before.

PSG fans were made to believe that they would be better than ever this season due to their summer strengthening. Mauricio Pochettino, on the other hand, has struggled to accommodate the many stars at his disposal, and the largest of those stars, Lionel Messi, has had a shaky start to his PSG career, with injury playing a part.

Despite these issues, PSG has won eight of their last nine matches, demonstrating the club's high expectations. Moreover, the one game they did not win was in the competition in which they are most interested in succeeding. If they lose at home to Manchester City, their spot in the last 16 could be jeopardized.

Eight of City's last nine UCL games have resulted in victories. The only loss in that run occurred in the competition's final last season. Pep Guardiola does not rely on a single great striker to score goals; instead, the entire squad scores as a unit, and they do so well. In their last seven matches across all competitions, they have scored 24 goals.

SUMMARY:

Manchester City are undefeated in five meetings with PSG, and the way in which they defeated them last season shows that they know how to keep their opponents at bay. Pochettino has a few well-known victories over City, but those were with a club over which he had greater control. I am backing Manchester City to win this match. The game will go down on Tuesday at 8:00 PM Nigerian and UK time.
