Some Of The Most Exciting Football Attacking Duos In Europes Top Leagues So Far This Season

Attacking partnerships do not only make football more exciting but have also been proven to get good results for their respective teams. At the same time, these partnerships aren't always successful because a lot of attacking partnerships also struggle.

The current football season is stacked with some very nice attacking partnerships especially after the wild transfer window that we witnessed few months ago. Of all the current attacking duos, which do you think has been the most exciting?

Here are some attacking duos that have shown moments of brilliance so far this season:

Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi

This is one of the new attacking partnerships in football. Messi moved to PSG from Barcelona and it was expected that he was going to be part of an attacking trio. So far, it has looked more like a duo because Neymar is still struggling to find his form.

Despite having played with each other for a short period, Messi and Mbappe have already shown glimpses of the ‘magic’ that they can create. They combined for their first goal in the recent UCL match against Manchester city and there is surely more to come.

Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema

Vinicius and Benzema have been putting up insane numbers in la liga this season. Benzema currently has 8 league goals and 7 assists in 7 games while Vinicius had 5 league goals and 2 assists.

Their partnership has also been fruitful because Real Madrid are top of la liga with the most goals. Carlo Ancelotti will hope that this duo keeps ‘cooking’ because they can do great things together (as they have already done so far this season).

Lewandowski and Thomas Muller

Lewandowski and Muller have always been a 'lethal' attacking partnership and it has continued this season. They compliment each other on the pitch with their playing styles and this remains one of the major reasons why their partnership has done well over the years.

Lewandowski currently has 7 league goals in 6 games while Muller has 2 goals and 2 assists.

Bruno Fernandez and Cristiano Ronaldo

Since his return to Manchester united, no player has assisted Ronaldo more than Bruno Fernandez. Yes, I counted the West Ham rebound goal as a Bruno assist and he also used a special pass to assist Ronaldo in the match against Young Boys.

Their 'Portuguese connection' can help Manchester united up front as it has already done so far this season.

Lucas Toney and Bryan Mbeumo

it's always exciting when a newly promoted side is doing well in any league and Brentford falls under this category so far this season. Their attack have been most impressive and entertaining.

Their striking partnership of Lucas Toney and Bryan in Brentford has been very impressive so far this season. Their numbers are not as high as the other participants of this list but they have performed well as underdogs so far this season.
