Spanish La Liga Santander giant, Villarreal summer signing and Nigerian-born winger Arnaut Danjuma has been phenomenal this season with his brilliant run of from having been at the commanding end in the front of goals for the Yellow submarines across all competitions.
His great influx of delivery has made him to be in the radar of been a prospective Super Eagles player with Nigeria having the chance of landing him.
However, the chances are now shattered with a huge blow as Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal has previously hinted that he could invite the Villarreal winger to the OnsOranje squad for next month's internationals.
Arnaut Danjuma has not featured for the Dutch National team since 2018 when he earned two caps, hence making him eligible to switch allegiance to the Super Eagles as he was under 21 back then.
Arnaut Danjuma who was born in Lagos to a Dutch father and Nigerian mother switched his move in the last summer transfer window from AFC Bournemouth to Villarreal, and has ever since been exceptional having registered six goals contributions in 8 games played so far for the Unai Emery's side.
The hope of him wearing a Super Eagles shirt is now finally over as he has just been called up to the Dutch National team by the former Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal as a replacement for the injured Steven Bergwijn.
As such, he will now make his return to the Netherlands in World Cup qualifiers against Gibraltar for the first time since 2018.
