There are certain players in Barcelona which the club needs to do away with. These players are currently in the twilight of their careers and have lost form. It's better for these players to be sold in the next transfer window and the money from their sales used for new player acquisitions.
Luuk De Jong
The striker lacks the pace and power La Blaugrana currently needs. He's almost always bullied in front of goal and has posed little or no threat to opposition defenders.
He is now slow and unable to run around the field stopping attacks at the defence. He is a veteran and has given the better part of his career to Barcelona. Now is the best time for Busquets to be out of the team with the emergence of Frenkie De Jong and Nico Gonzalez.
The Brazilian has lost his form and doesn't seem to be able to reach his potential at Barca. His playing style doesn't seem to fit the team and his high wages doesn't help the club's finances.
Long term injury has weakened Umtiti. He's no more a starter at Barcelona mad has lost his form. He doesn't look like he'll be able to pick form judging from his recent games. Hence, Barcelona needs to sell him off and use the proceeds to get a better centre back.
